Welcome to the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, also known as the Last Great Race.

Starting March 3rd, 2007, 88 teams of dogs and their mushers will make the trek from Anchorage, Alaska, all the way up to Nome, Alaska, a run of over 1,150 miles. This is a journey that could take anywhere from seven to thirty days to complete (although hopefully closer to seven).

This is a community for people who are interested in following and talking about the Iditarod.

The Iditarod truly is the last great race. Come and see why so many have come to love this tradition.
